Scott was GREAT! A DJ can really make or break a reception and mine was SO MUCH FUN! Besides being an awesome DJ, he was super professional and really really nice. He called me back super fast every time I called him, and picked out songs for me that I didn’t get around to picking. We were married in The White Room in St. Augustine and couldn’t have been happier with our choice to use Scott and his services for our big day. We had a one-on-one meeting with him about a year out and organized our initial thoughts for our big day. From there Scott followed up with a great email outlining everything we had touched base on and directed us to his user-friendly website to update our wedding party info and song choices throughout the year.

When beginning our journey to plan our perfect wedding day, we had one thing in mind that we knew would make or break our party and that was the music/DJ we selected. We have both been to tons of weddings throughout our years and the music (in our opinion) is by far the most important part of the party. Without a quality DJ and good music, the party tends to die out quick. From the start, Scott was absolutely fantastic. We interviewed many DJs and bands and it wasn’t until we found Scott that we felt at ease with the whole process. He was so laid back, understanding, and extremely accommodating throughout the entire thing. Not once did he tell us what we “should” do until we asked what his ideas were. Not only that, he was always extremely responsive to any e-mail we sent. We would always have a response within a few hours if not less. Finally, the actual day of the wedding. I can’t say enough about how perfect our day was and that is all due to the vendors we chose. Scott picked what he felt was the best possible party music and kept it going the entire night. He mixed, knew when to take a break for a slower song, and checked with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy throughout the night. If we were to do it all over again, there is no doubt we would choose Scott again. In fact, I wish we could throw another party just to use his talents for the music portion! From my first conversation with Scott, to the last - Scott was professional, honorable, courteous, timely, compassionate and flexible.

Very few times would you find someone who not only possesses these qualities, but is also excellent in the delivery of the final service - “DJ-ing”

Scott’s experience became very very evident during the planning stages. For most, getting married is a “first time” event. For Scott, he was so thorough in helping the “newly to be weds” plan the flow of the day - from “while the guest wait during the ceremony” to the “final dance and farewell at the reception”….. going way beyond the typical DJ service by giving very useful suggestions on what he has seen worked or not! That’s probably where the greatest value was added.

Scott is more than a DJ. He pays a vested interest in understanding us, what we needed and purposed in his heart to make the day a memorable one. In one of our conversations, I quote Scott as saying…… “I love what I do, and if I could, I would do it for free!”
For some this is a cliche statement, but for him - I really believed it. I could sense his satisfaction in knowing that we were happy, and that he contributed significantly to making our day.

During our wedding, we had a lot of music that was native to the numerous regions of the Caribbean where we are from. Scott went home, studied the music over the course of two days (the amount of time he had to prepare) and played and mixed it so well, that several people from the Caribbean came asking me - where did we get this DJ from!!

Forget the rest, don’t get conned into those “too good to be true deals”. What is life, if not for the great memories and good relationship experiences. With Scott you’ll get both - but without the stress.

Here’s to you Scott….. May God bless you abundantly in all that you do and may you thrive in 2013 and beyond.

We had a live band performing for the first part of our reception, but Scott was flexible enough to come and set up and be there the entire time. He also provided some up lighting for us as well.

We found his online song selection process perfect. I was able to pick out the songs I wanted to hear and flag some as ‘must play’ and some as ‘do not play’. I thought this was fantastic. Scott was able to quickly get an idea for our music preference and did a great job filling in with more music during the night.

He was so pleasant to work with. Having nice, positive people around you on your wedding day is soooo important.

Scott Thompson from Thompson Entertainment was by far the perfect DJ for my wedding. From the first e-mail we sent (he called us within 20 minutes) to the clean-up after the wedding reception, I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Scott met with us to discuss his services and was very personable from the beginning. He also does up lighting for your venue (in any color and way less expensive than ANY one else in the area) We signed the contract that day as we were so impressed with him. Scott sets up a client information page just for you where you enter all of your wedding information. You can listen to songs for all the special wedding events and choose them all right there on the site. It was so user friendly and made the process quick and painless. Scott answered any and all questions immediately. He also acts as the MC for the day, coordinating all of your events at the reception if you don’t have a wedding planner or organizer. He comes early to set up and was completely prepared the entire night. The up lighting was amazing. I highly suggest it. From the moment we arrived at the reception, he came outside and greeted us and let us know what was going on inside for cocktail hour. He went and got all the wedding party to be introduced and organized it all. The entire night he played off the crowd and kept the dance floor packed (which was not an easy fete with our crowd) Everyone was asking him for his card all night and 2 of my friends that are engaged are planning on contacting him for their wedding now. I highly recommend Scott Thompson from Thompson Entertainment for any event!

Scott was the perfect wedding DJ for my husband and I! We were so happy with how he kept the night flowing. He doesn’t try to put on a show, but plays great music and keeps everyone out dancing. I laughingly search for “non-cheesy wedding DJ Orlando” and he was the first one to come up and he is exactly that! We didn’t want someone who talks the whole night and takes over the night and Scott was great! We are a young couple (21-22) so we wanted someone who would keep us and all our friends out having a good time. All our friends told us how much they loved our DJ and how much fun it was! Best of the Best! From the beginning when we booked Scott he was very professional, helpful and had personality! This may sound stereotypical but he was a “normal” DJ!! He asked us what generes we would like to have played throughout each part of our reception and he did a wonderful job composing the list of songs to be played. We told him to play “Italian dinner music” while dinner was served and it was perfect - felt like we were in Italy!! We would highly recommend his services.
